| Notes: | A large flat wide oval cabochon from the famous White Cliffs field in SW New South Wales.. This large cabochon I have had cut from material I bought on a trip to White Cliffs in 2003 on my way back to Queensland from the Gemboree in South Australia. It has a very clean face wiyh lovely large neon green broadflash patches. The back has inclusions of a lighter bone white potch. This adds a very slight distraction to this lovely stone but I have compensated for this with a substantial lowering of price. At present wholesale market valuation completely clean this would be $200 t0 $250 per carat I estimate. This stone always attracts attention when I exhibit at gemshows...it is just looking for the right owner who can see this as a beautiful opal project and wo appreciates a bargain. The back is very low polished dome with plenty of the neon green broadflash patches and it has a thin almost vertical girdle that would make setting a breeze. At $125 per ct this is in my opinion a great deal....but a further discount is offered for a limited time to celebrate the website launch... |
