Notes:	This is a beautiful clean and flawless fancy cabochon of Montana agate that was cut and polished for entry into the Australian Gemboree (national gem and lapidary competition) some years ago and achieved a first place. To score maximum shape points you need three distinct inside curves or a heart shape. Doing tight (more than needed) inside curves with matching even width and angle back-bevels, is something that I've worked at and pretty well mastered over many years and I generally love the challenge of going to the limit at times. I feel that the tight curves (done as everything I cut, entirely on 6" lapidary machines) makes a more special and collectable gemstone. This montana is a very pleasing moustache shaped stone shows lovely colours and blotchy black manganese siliucate inclusions... ost of this unusual agate is regarded by gemologists as agate replacement of fossil limbs...ie agate limb casts!
